Orange Glen managed to keep up with Southwest SD until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Orange Glen suffered a tough 56-30 loss at the hands of Southwest SD.
Escondido Charter has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 20 points or more this season. They breezed by El Cajon Valley at home to the tune of 71-32. With that win, Escondido Charter brought their scoring average up to 51.8 points per game.
It was another big night for Noelle Champagne, who scored 20 points along with 6 assists and 6 rebounds. Champagne is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Faith Grayson, who scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds.
Holtville's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Orange Glen's defeat dropped theirs to 5-3.
Orange Glen took a serious blow against Escondido Charter when the teams last played back in February, falling 59-29.
