Baseball Recap: James Logan's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask James Logan). Everything went their way against the Deer Valley Wolverines on Thursday as the James Logan Colts made off with a 33-0 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Colts as it put an end to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Ben Towers was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Nate Lally was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base. Those runs were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was DJ Mandigal, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI, three runs, and one double.
