The Blair County Christian Bobcats can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They secured a 39-33 W over Calvary Christian Academy. The win was all the more spectacular given Blair County Christian's disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 584th in Pennsylvania, while Calvary Christian Academy is ranked 263rd in Maryland).
Gabi Dull was her usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with nine rebounds and seven steals. She hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Makayla Hughes, who scored six points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Blair County Christian's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Blair County Christian will take on Great Commission at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Shalom Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Shalom Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven last Saturday.
