If Turner wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Piper, they should've done a better job of containing Roman Byers. The Pirates took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 43-7 victory over the Golden Bears thanks in part to Byers, who rushed for 149 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries, and also threw for 71 yards and one TD. Piper is 3-1 when Byers posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 0-3 otherwise.
