The Lemoore Tigers will challenge the Hanford West Huskies at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
Lemoore is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Foothill as they made off with a 10-1 victory. The Tigers not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 2nd (when they won 17-1).

Ian Snell made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Lemoore is 6-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 10-11 otherwise. Snell was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.
In other batting news, Lemoore let Tristan Puga and Drake Varela run wild. Puga went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI, while Varela went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double was Varela's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Chris Garcia, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Lemoore was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .348 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hanford West). They had just enough and edged out Chowchilla 11-9.
King Mitre was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Ben Ritchie was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Lemoore pushed their record up to 16-12 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Hanford West, their win bumped their record up to 13-14.
Everything went Lemoore's way against Hanford West in their previous meeting back in March of 2021, as Lemoore made off with a 15-1 victory. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Huskies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
