There's no place like home for Gatewood, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 13-4 margin over the Windsor Academy Knights on Thursday. Considering the Gators have won five games by more than eight runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Natalie Sills was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over 4.2 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits (and not a single walk). Sills was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Alexis Thrift and Avery Hill did most of the damage at the plate: Thrift got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI and two runs, while Hill got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs and one RBI.
