Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Loara). They put the hurt on the Estancia Eagles with a sharp 57-34 win on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Saxons have posted since February 1st.

It was another big night for Sophia Rangel, who dropped a triple-double on 22 points, 13 boards, and 12 steals. What's more, she also racked up five assists, the most she's had since back in January. Another player making a difference was Dulce Espinoza, who went 5 of 9 en route to 11 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.

Loara smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 25 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in five consecutive matches.

Loara's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Estancia, they dropped their record down to 3-11 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Loara won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Pacifica at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Loara has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Estancia, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Santiago at 5:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025.
