Steinbrenner has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against The Riverview Sharks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Riverview took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Steinbrenner, who comes in off a win.
After only six points in their last matchup, Steinbrenner made sure to put some points up on the board against Sickles on Friday. Steinbrenner breezed by Sickles at home to the tune of 42-14.
Ty Robinson had a dynamite game for Steinbrenner, throwing for 287 yards and five touchdowns while completing 76% of his passes. Steinbrenner also got help from Brady Messenger who showed off his sure hands for 125 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, Riverview lost to Durant at home by a decisive 36-22 margin on Friday. It was the first time this season that Riverview let down their fans at home.
The losing side was boosted by Dontarious "Rico" Shoats, who rushed for 121 yards and a touchdown.
Steinbrenner's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Riverview, their loss dropped their record down to 7-2.
Everything came up roses for Steinbrenner against Riverview in their previous meeting back in November of 2022 as the squad secured a 49-6 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Riverview's Harrison Hensley, who rushed for 126 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries.
