Ultimate Highlights of Isaac Taylor-Stuart
See why Taylor-Stuart is often compared to former Helix star Reggie Bush. Isaac Taylor-Stuart, one of the most coveted cornerbacks in the country, announced he will sign at USC a short time ago.
The 6-foot-2, 195-pound senior from
Helix (La Mesa, Calif.) led his 13-2 team to the 1-AA state title-game with big performances on both sides of the ball.
The nation's No. 32 recruit overall, according to 247Sports, had six interceptions, 12 pass deflections and two fumble recoveries.
On offense, he averaged better than 11 yards per carry, finishing with 422 yards and eight touchdowns. Additionally, he hauled in 15 passes for 212 yards and two more scores.
Taylor-Stuart, who will play cornerback in college with his combination of size and speed, should be ready to make an immediate impact in college.
Often compared to another former versatile and speedy Helix standout, Reggie Bush, Taylor-Stuart was timed at 4.25 seconds in the 40-yard-dash at The Opening last summer. He had the fastest time of the nation's top summer showcase.
One
Sports Illustrated report, speculated that Taylor-Stuart's recruitment came down to his love for the food chain
Whataburger. That proved false as none of the chain's stores are in California.
The signing of Taylor-Stuart continued a huge day for the Trojans, who moved from 11th before the day to No. 4 in the
247Sports team recruiting rankings.
