After a string of ten wins, Lexington's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Big Walnut Golden Eagles by a score of 2-1.
Makaree Chapman put in work no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.
