St. Pius X Catholic extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping them up to 5-3. Everything went their way against the Southwest DeKalb Panthers as they made off with an 8-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Golden Lions, who have now won five contests by six runs or more so far this season.

As for Southwest DeKalb, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 5-2 record. They were red-hot at the plate heading into the match (they scored no less than ten runs in the four games prior), but St. Pius X Catholic's pitchers proved too tough.

For Southwest DeKalb's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chrissee Taylor, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
