The Webb Schools Gauls scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Waverly 63-4 at home. That looming 63-4 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for The Webb Schools yet this season.
The Webb Schools' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Pristine Thomas, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Thomas is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Xajani Badkar, who scored seven points along with ten steals and nine assists.
The win makes it two in a row for The Webb Schools and bumps their season record up to 6-8. As for Waverly, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
The Webb Schools won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Avalon at 11:00 a.m. on January 13th. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Xemina Moreno and Badkar. As for Waverly, they will head out on the road to challenge E at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. E comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last seven games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
