The Tomball Cougars won the last time they faced the Alief Taylor Lions, and things went their way on Friday too. Tomball came out on top against Alief Taylor by a score of 44-37. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Tomball.
Despite the loss, Alief Taylor still got an impressive performance from Nathan Kongolo, who scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds. The match was Kongolo's ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tae Malik, who scored 6 points.
The win got Tomball back to even at 5-5. As for Alief Taylor, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
Tomball is on the road again on Saturday and play against Deer Park at 12:00 p.m. on December 2nd. Deer Park will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Alief Taylor, they will face off against Brazosport at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. Brazosport will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1156th, while Alief Taylor is ranked 548th).
