The Tomball Cougars basketball team scored 44 points and restricted the host Alief Taylor Lions to 37 in the Cougars non-league victory on Friday.

The Cougars now sport a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Deer Park for a 6A Region III District 22 contest on Saturday, December 2. Tomball will battle a Deer team coming off a 47-45 non-league win over North Shore (Houston, TX). The Deer record now stands at 9-3.

The Lions (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Memorial (Houston, TX). The Mustangs come into the non-league contest with a 2-5 record. In their last contest, Memorial was nudged by Keller Central (Keller, TX), 48-45, in a non-league contest.
