The Nimitz Cougars (Houston, TX) basketball nipped the host Alief Taylor Lions (Houston, TX), 36-34 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Cougars (10-9) will now prepare for their test against New Braunfels (New Braunfels, TX). The Unicorns go into the non-league test with a 18-2 record. In their last test, New Braunfels got by Pearland (Pearland, TX), 64-53, in a non-league test.
