In Wednesday's league outing, the Alief Taylor Lions (Houston, TX) basketball squad felled the visiting Alief Hastings Bears (Houston, TX), by a margin of 61-47.

The Lions (18-10) will now prepare for their outing against Strake Jesuit (Houston, TX). The Fighting Crusaders go into the 6A Region III District 23 outing with a 12-16 record. In their last outing, Strake Jesuit was beaten by Dawson (Pearland, TX), 64-46, in a league outing.

The Bears now own a 3-20 record. They play next when they host Alief Elsik for a 6A Region III District 23 outing on Saturday, February 3. Alief Hastings will clash with a Rams squad coming off a 66-43 league loss to Shadow Creek (Pearland, TX). The Rams record now stands at 8-17.
