The Alief Taylor Lions basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the visiting Strake Jesuit Fighting Crusaders to 38 in the Lions league victory on Saturday.

The Lions now sport a 19-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pearland for a 6A Region III District 23 contest on Wednesday, February 7. Alief Taylor will battle a Oilers team coming off a 44-40 league loss to Dawson (Pearland, TX). The Oilers record now stands at 18-13.

The Fighting Crusaders (12-17) will now prepare for their contest against Alief Hastings (Houston, TX). The Bears come into the 6A Region III District 23 contest with a 3-21 record. In their last bout, Alief Hastings was knocked off by Alief Elsik (Houston, TX), 53-37, in a league bout.
