After losing to the Lincoln Lions the last time they met, the Leigh Longhorns decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Leigh narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Lincoln 53-51.
Emily Chen went supernova for Leigh, scoring 21 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Chen has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Catalina Williams, who scored 12 points.
Leigh is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-13 record this season. As for Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 14-8.
Leigh will head out on the road to square off against Prospect at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Leigh will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 702nd, while Prospect is ranked 220th). As for Lincoln, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Willow Glen at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
