Basketball Recap: King's Academy Now 5-1 over Last Six Games

On Saturday, the King's Academy Knights were able to grind out a solid win over the Salinas Cowboys, taking the game 45-36. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Salinas lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Alissa Escutia, who posted nine points. Jennifer Rivera was another key player, putting up seven points.

King's Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Salinas, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

King's Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Hill at 1:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. As for Salinas, they will take on Valley Christian in a tournament on Friday. Valley Christian will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Salinas surely won't give up without a fight.
