The St. Francis Troubadours will challenge the Vista del Lago Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, St. Francis beat Davis Sr. 60-56.

Sydney Teoh and Layla Hernandez were among the main playmakers for St. Francis as the former went 8-for-18 on her way to 26 points and six boards and the latter went 7-for-9 en route to 14 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. With that strong performance, Teoh is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Tayli Paeu-Lindgren, who posted eight points along with 11 boards and four steals.
St. Francis smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in five consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, everything went Vista del Lago's way against Bella Vista on Thursday as Vista del Lago made off with a 60-37 victory. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 317th, while the Broncos are ranked 733rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
St. Francis better focus on containing Kelsey Brooks and Bella Pallari as the pair were huge in Vista del Lago's win. Brooks almost dropped a double-double with 23 points and nine rebounds, while Pallari scored 16 points in addition to six boards and six steals. Brooks has become a key player for Vista del Lago: the team is undefeated when she posts at least 20 points, but 8-15 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Adalai Lawson, who earned a point along with nine rebounds and four steals.
St. Francis' win bumped their record up to 12-16. As for Vista del Lago, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-15.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: St. Francis has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 30.5 boards per game. However, it's not like Vista del Lago struggles in that department as they've been averaging 32.2 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
