Meanwhile, Gulliver Prep got themselves on the board against Olympian on Monday, but Olympian never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 13-0 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Raiders considering their one-run performance the contest before.
Jacob Lombard and Darwin Vargas did most of the damage at the plate: Lombard got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI, while Vargas went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Lombard has become a key player for Gulliver Prep: the team is 9-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Sementilli, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.
Bell's victory bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Gulliver Prep, their win bumped their record up to 13-8.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Bell hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like Gulliver Prep struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 1 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down. Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other baseball content.
