The Adams Central Jets will take on the Woodlan Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Adams Central was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian on Friday. The Jets put the hurt on the Braves with a sharp 12-5 win. The victory continues a trend for the Jets in their matchups with the Braves: they've now won four in a row.
Ethan Funk made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off two hits. Funk was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2025.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Colston Pruitt, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jacob Miller, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Adams Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .535. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Woodlan). They blew past Angola 13-6 on Thursday. The game was the first time the Warriors have beaten the Hornets on their field since May 19, 2018.
Jordan Halsey was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, three stolen bases, and four RBI. He also scored two runs, which is notable because Woodlan is 4-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 6-8 otherwise. Ashtin Jacquay was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.
The win got Woodlan back to even at 10-10. As for Adams Central, their record is now 7-14-1.
Adams Central couldn't quite get it done against Woodlan when the teams last played last Friday as they fell 12-8. Can the Jets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
