The Glendora Tartans entered their tilt with the Walnut Mustangs with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. Glendora breezed by Walnut on the road to the tune of 61-24. Given Glendora's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 44th, while Walnut is ranked 405th), the result on Wednesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Glendora's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Addison Martin, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds. Martin is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Brianna Gomez, who scored 18 points along with 5 steals.
Glendora's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-1. As for Walnut, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
Glendora will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Rancho Cucamonga at 8:00 p.m. on December 8th. Rancho Cucamonga is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Walnut, they will head out on the road to face off against Wilson at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
