Baseball Recap: Palisades Has No Trouble Against Hamilton

Palisades's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Hamilton Yankees. The Dolphins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by six runs or more this season.

Palisades got a massive performance out of Logan Bailey, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. What's more, Bailey posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Gitlin, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Palisades always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Palisades' victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-9. As for Hamilton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palisades will be taking part in a tournament against Bell at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Dolphins 3.6, the Eagles 3) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Hamilton, they will challenge Westchester at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
