Freeman has gone 8-2 against Raymond Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Falcons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. Freeman is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
Freeman took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Wahoo, sneaking past 7-6.

Sydney Lenners was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Lenners wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kaylie Beu, who went 2-for-4 with two runs. Another was Courtney Holliday, who earned one run and two stolen bases.
Freeman was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. They are 11-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Raymond Central couldn't beat Platteview on Monday even though they stacked five runs on them in the fifth inning. The Mustangs fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 9-8. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Tess Roubal spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered seven earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up 12 Ks.
At the plate, Makenna Hellerich made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Kliment, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Freeman's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-11. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Raymond Central, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Freeman hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .367. However, it's not like Raymond Central struggles in that department as they've averaged .314. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Freeman took their win against Raymond Central in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 8-2 score. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
