The Linden Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 66-20 loss at the hands of Stagg. Linden has struggled against Stagg recently, as their match on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Stagg was led to victory by Destiny Martinez and Jameelah Pharms. Martinez scored 25 points, while Pharms scored 30 points. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Pharms has scored at least a third of Stagg's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Ogle, who scored six points.
Linden bumped their record down to 1-18 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.4 points per game. As for Stagg, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Linden will square off against Weston Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Weston Ranch is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Stagg, they will head out on the road to square off against Chavez at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
