Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Harding should expect quite the challenge on Friday. They will be defending their home turf for the first time when they go up against Minneapolis North at 7:00 PM. Given their recent losses, both teams have a little extra motivation heading into this weekend.
There's no need to mince words: Harding lost to Columbia Heights last Friday, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 10-49. This makes it the second loss in a row for Harding.
Meanwhile, Minneapolis North took the match and then some with a 48-0 win over St. Anthony Village. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-0.
Minneapolis North's victory lifted them to 2-0 while Harding's defeat dropped them down to 0-2. We'll see if Minneapolis North's success rolls on or if Harding are able to steal their positive momentum.
