The Mercersburg Academy Blue Storm waltzed into their contest on Thursday with three straight wins but they left with four. They blew past Lawrenceville School 70-37 at home. With Mercersburg Academy ahead 44-13 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Mercersburg Academy found their leader in underclassman Annie Mohr, who shot 5-for-7 from deep and dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mohr has scored all season. Madison Goodhart was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.
Mercersburg Academy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Lawrenceville School, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.
Mercersburg Academy will take on Hill School at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Mercersburg Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four contests. Lawrenceville School does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
