The Uniontown Red Raiders came into Wednesday's match having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 54-46 victory over California on Wednesday. The victory was just what Uniontown needed coming off of a 51-25 defeat in their prior match.
A?kira Dade was nothing short of spectacular: she scored 28 points. She is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Geelece Ingram, who scored 12 points.
Uniontown's win bumped their record up to 6-13. As for California, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Uniontown will take on the Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ringgold comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for California, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. Bentworth is no doubt hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses.
