South has been on the road for two straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Wasco Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither South nor Wasco posted many points in their last games, so it might be the defenses that decide this one.
Last Tuesday, South came up short against Foothill and fell 32-20.
Meanwhile, Wasco's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their sixth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 47-25 walloping at the hands of East Bakersfield.
Wasco's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Cassandra Evangelista, who scored eight points, and Illiana Villanueva who scored six points along with six rebounds. Villanueva set a new season high mark in rebounds with six.
South's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Wasco, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
South strolled past Wasco in their previous meeting back in December of 2016 by a score of 44-26. Will South repeat their success, or does Wasco have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
