Baseball Recap: Redondo Union Takes a Loss

Redondo Union lost against Torrance on March 7th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Redondo Union fell just short of Torrance by a score of 3-2.

Robby Zimmerman was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over 5.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off eight hits (and only one walk). He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Redondo Union is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 4-7 otherwise.

At the plate, Redondo Union saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was KG Hattori, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Redondo Union's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Torrance, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2.

While Redondo Union had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
