Reseda has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Panorama Pythons at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 62-28, which was the final score in Reseda's tilt against the Cougars on Monday. Reseda has not had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Meanwhile, Panorama ended up a good deal behind the Lancers on Thursday and lost 49-33. Panorama has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Panorama's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of VALERY QUEZADA, who scored 12 points along with two steals, and ELIZABETH JUAREZ who scored nine points along with six rebounds and three steals. JUAREZ has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last six times she's played.
Reseda has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Panorama, their loss dropped their record down to 4-21.
Reseda didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against the Pythons when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 68-63 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Reseda since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
