The Woodcrest Christian Royals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Ontario Christian, falling 103-20. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Woodcrest Christian has scored all season.
Ontario Christian found their leader in underclassman Kaleena Smith, who scored 45 points along with seven assists and seven steals. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Smith has scored at least a third of Ontario Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Legacy Benjamin, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 steals.
Woodcrest Christian has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Ontario Christian, the victory was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Woodcrest Christian will face off against Arrowhead Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
