Meanwhile, Thomasville's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 36-29 to Hillcrest, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.
Excel dropped their record down to 1-12 with that loss, which was their 11th straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 21.0 points per game. As for Thomasville, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.
