 Meanwhile, Lassen put the finishing touches on their 13th blowout victory of the season  on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand University Prep  a   10-0 shutout. Lassen's offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.
 The result came thanks to  Seth Mallery's shutout, as he gave up just two  hits and racked up six Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in five consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate, Lassen got a big performance out of  Deshon Moore, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Zayn Wright, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in two of his three plate appearances.
 University Prep is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 9-18 record  this season. As for Lassen, their win bumped their record up to 20-6-1.
