Nuview Bridge and Temecula Prep are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but likely not for long. The Knights will face off against the Patriots at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
If Nuview Bridge beats Temecula Prep with ten runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Knights blew past Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School 10-1 on Monday. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Joshy Rodriguez was incredible, firing off two home runs and six RBI while going 2-for-4. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Lagor, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Nuview Bridge lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Temecula Prep got themselves on the board against San Jacinto Leadership Academy on Friday, but San Jacinto Leadership Academy never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 19-0 win. That looming 19-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Patriots yet this season.
Joshua Estrada made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Estrada was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. He has become a key player for Temecula Prep: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 8-9 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Nikolaz Gonzalez, who went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. He continues to improve, besting his previous run total in each of the last three games he's played. Dylan Hanson also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Nuview Bridge's record now sits at 12-10-1. As for Temecula Prep, their record is now 12-9.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Nuview Bridge has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .440. However, it's not like Temecula Prep struggles in that department as they've averaged .452. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Nuview Bridge couldn't quite finish off Temecula Prep when the teams last played back in March of 2025 and fell 7-5. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
