In what's become a running theme this season, the Piner Prospectors gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They put the hurt on Healdsburg with a sharp 7-1 win. Dulce Aguirre Cuevas was a massive factor in the win, as she booted in five goals all by herself.
Piner pushed their record up to 10-4-2 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those four matches. As for Healdsburg, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9-2 record this season.
Piner will be playing in front of their home fans against Marin Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marin Academy will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Piner surely won't give up without a fight. Healdsburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
