Jaxon Blancett posted a new career-high in passer rating on Friday. He threw for 474 yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for 52 yards. He was dominant the last time he took on Malakoff back in September of 2024, so they probably should've seen this coming. Blancett also made an appearance on special teams (luckily for Lorena): his a 48-yard strike wound up winning them the game.

Looking ahead, Blancett and Lorena will be playing in front of their home fans against Franklin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Leopards had to take a loss when they last met the Lions, but Blancett had little to do with the loss: he rushed for 51 yards and a pair of TDs, and also picked up 49 receiving yards.
