Bret Harte has gone a perfect 3-0 against Big Valley Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Bullfrogs will look to defend their home field against the Lions at 4:00 p.m.

Bret Harte fell victim to Linden and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. The defeat continues a trend for the Bullfrogs in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost nine in a row.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Friday as neither Big Valley Christian nor Riverbank made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Lions came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bruins, sneaking past 5-3. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Bruins: they've now won six in a row.

Jackson Howell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one triple and one RBI.

In other batting news, Alex Avila was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Big Valley Christian's win bumped their record up to 5-13-1. As for Bret Harte, their loss dropped their record down to 15-9.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Bret Harte has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.5 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Big Valley Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Everything went Bret Harte's way against Big Valley Christian in their previous meeting back in March, as Bret Harte made off with an 11-2 victory. Will the Bullfrogs repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
