The Jefferson County Warriors are taking a road trip to square off against the East Laurens Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Jefferson County not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since February 12th. Everything went their way against Central as Jefferson County made off with a 13-3 victory. Considering the Warriors' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Trey Davis made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits (and not a single walk). Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
In other batting news, Mason Tungate was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Camden Dukes also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.
Jefferson County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, while East Laurens put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Southwest. East Laurens was the clear victor by a 12-0 margin over Southwest. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.
East Laurens also got a great performance from Jakeb Logue as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over 4.2 innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave Logue a new career-low in earned runs (zero).
On the hitting side, Konner Oneal was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. East Laurens is 2-1 when Oneal posts three or more hits, but 4-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Kaden Mimbs, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
Jefferson County's record is now 5-10. As for East Laurens, their record is now 6-10.
Jefferson County suffered a grim 17-4 defeat to East Laurens in their previous meeting on March 5th. Can Jefferson County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
