Grace Christian Academy is on an eight-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Point Arena is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Lions will host the Pirates at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Grace Christian Academy had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the nine-run drubbing they dealt Laytonville last Tuesday. The Lions were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Warriors.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Point Arena). They put the hurt on Laytonville with a sharp 21-4 win on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won seven in a row.
Like Grace Christian Academy, Point Arena also got a great game from a two-way player: Aidan O'Neil. On the mound, he tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. O'Neil was even better at the plate, going 4-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jose Bernal, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Point Arena kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 25 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2024.
Point Arena's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Grace Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0.
Tuesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Grace Christian Academy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .451. However, it's not like Point Arena struggles in that department as they've averaged .648. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
