The Juniata Indians will be home for the holidays to greet the Upper Dauphin Area Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Monday, Juniata didn't have too much trouble with Greenwood on the road as they won 49-33. The win was just what Juniata needed coming off of a 83-43 defeat in their prior game.
Meanwhile, Upper Dauphin Area humbled Line Mountain with a 44-16 victory. With Upper Dauphin Area ahead 27-3 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Upper Dauphin Area got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Reagan Wentzel out in front who scored nine points along with 12 rebounds and three blocks. Those 12 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Gracie Griffiths, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Juniata's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2. As for Upper Dauphin Area, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Things could have been worse for Juniata, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 51-36 loss to Upper Dauphin Area in their previous meeting back in January.
