The Troy Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They lost to Sonora at home by a decisive 59-44 margin. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Troy in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now lost six in a row.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Keira Ujiki, who scored 13 points along with four steals. Ujiki has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Kaylene Vivo was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with six rebounds.
Troy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season. As for Sonora, they now have a winning record of 14-13.
Troy will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Lancers at 5:30 p.m. Hopefully Sunny Hills focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday. As for Sonora, they will head out on the road to challenge the Highlanders at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. La Habra is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
