Baseball Recap: Pulaski Extends Winning Streak to Four

Pulaski entered their tilt with Menasha on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Bluejays. For the Red Raiders, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win the Bluejays walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Brock Wiedeman looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since May 1st.

At the plate, Pulaski let Gavin Sikorski and Braun Wotruba run wild. Sikorski went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Wotruba went 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. Sikorski has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Gavin Luebke, who earned one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

Pulaski's victory bumped their record up to 17-9. As for Menasha, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Pulaski will host Ashwaubenon at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Red Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Jaguars have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Menasha, they will face off against Slinger at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
