The Sierra Chieftains will take on the Yosemite Badgers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Yosemite will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Sierra extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday. The Chieftains came out on top against Torres by a score of 12-7.
Wyatt Young was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. Young was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Micah Goodman, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with four runs, two doubles, and one triple. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zach Lloyd, who went 1-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Sierra was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .457. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Torres only posted a batting average of .323.
Yosemite let Selma stack five runs on them in the fourth inning on Wednesday but luckily Yosemite prevailed anyway. The Badgers narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Bears 10-9. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Badgers' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
John Dudley was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Taytum Whitesides, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
The victory got Yosemite back to even at 8-8. As for Sierra, their win bumped their record up to 15-5.
Yosemite's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Sierra hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .315. It's a different story for Yosemite, though, as they've only averaged .243. Will they be able to contain Sierra's hitters?
Sierra came out on top in a nail-biter against Yosemite in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 7-5. Do the Chieftains have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Badgers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
