For the second straight game, Thacher will face off against Grace. The Toads will be playing at home against the Lancers at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Thacher is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

Thacher is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 14 runs on Saturday, they were much more limited against Grace on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Lancers by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Toads have suffered since April 24, 2025.

For Grace's part, Makai Saiki was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk). Saiki is becoming a predictor of Grace's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 5-2 (and 7-8 when he doesn't). Saiki was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Dylan Ferguson, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Daniel Morlett, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

The win made it two in a row for Grace and bumps their season record up to 12-10. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch. As for Thacher, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Thacher has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Grace struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
