Otay Ranch's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Maleah Porch, who scored eight points along with seven steals. Mya Bermudez was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Victory Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Mater Dei Catholic on Thursday, taking the game 54-44. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Victory Christian Academy.
Otay Ranch has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Victory Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 12-5 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home.
Otay Ranch didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Victory Christian Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 43-37 win.
