Technology extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 2-11-1 in the process. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Credo Gryphon. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gryphon this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 back in April.

Damian Padilla was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He struck out nine batters over 5.2 innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That home run was his first of the season.
Padilla wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Scullion, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
As for Credo, the victory got them back to even at 11-11. The win made it back-to-back victories for they.
Like Technology, Credo also got a great game from a two-way player: Thadeus Cole. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Cole is becoming a predictor of Credo's success: when he allows at most one hit the team is 5-2 (and 6-9 when he doesn't). Cole was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tommy Simmons, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Henry Humphreys, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Technology is set to take on their familiar foe Roseland Collegiate Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Credo will square off against rival Calistoga at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
