The Wallace Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 60-43 to Paxton. That's two games in a row now that Wallace has lost by exactly 17 points.
Kendyl Flaming and Dajana Garrison certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Flaming scored 15 points along with eight rebounds, while Garrison scored six points. That's the first time this season that Flaming pulled down eight or more rebounds.
It was another big night for Jacelyn Jorgensen, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and three steals for Paxton. Another player making a difference was Jordan Clouse, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Wallace has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Paxton, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wallace will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Brady at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Paxton, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Patrick's on Tuesday.
