Basketball Recap: Winters Skates Past Williams with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Winters). They blew past the Williams Yellowjackets 45-6 on Monday. With the Warriors ahead 21-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Winters got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jordan Tucker out in front who posted ten points. Reece Barbosa was another key player, putting up eight points.

The win (which was Winters' third in a row) raised their record to 6-1. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.0 points per game. As for Williams, they are on a 21-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winters will venture away from home to square off against Dixon at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Williams, they will head out to challenge Princeton at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Princeton will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Williams surely won't give up without a fight.
